The Four Pillars of the Juara Evaluation

We assess every component of the guest experience against four core pillars. Partners must meet our minimum threshold in all categories to be included in our network. This process is overseen by our senior management, including experts from our team.

1. Uncompromising Safety & Compliance (40% Weighting)

This is our non-negotiable foundation. Our audit includes:

  • Equipment & Fleet: Annual certification of all scuba equipment by certified technicians. Vessel maintenance logs are reviewed quarterly. Mandatory presence of DAN-standard emergency oxygen kits, AEDs, and comprehensive first-aid supplies on every vessel.
  • Crew Certification: All boat captains must hold a valid Indonesian maritime license (e.g., ANKAPIN). All dive staff must be active, insured PADI Professionals with current Emergency First Response (EFR) certification.

  • Equipment Quality: We exclusively use new or impeccably maintained equipment from leading brands like Scubapro, Aqualung, and Suunto.
  • Partner Property Audits: For hotel and villa partners, we conduct in-person site inspections to assess cleanliness, maintenance, quality of furnishings, and overall ambiance.

4. Commitment to Sustainability (10% Weighting)

True luxury is responsible. We believe in protecting the natural assets that make Lombok extraordinary.

  • Environmental Practices: We verify partners’ policies on single-use plastics, waste management, and water conservation.
  • Community Engagement: We prioritize partners who employ a high percentage of local staff, invest in community development, and support local artisans.
