The same PADI Open Water course at a pace that leaves room to enjoy it — a day off in the middle, then two fun dives as a certified diver rather than a student.

Day by day
The certification occupies days one to three. What the extra two days buy is a rest day and your first dives without a skill to demonstrate.

Day 1
09:00 – 16:00
Orientation, the equipment workshop, and the first three confined water dives.

Day 2
09:00 – 15:00
Two open water dives to 12 metres at a sheltered site such as Meno Slope.

Day 3
09:00 – 15:00
Dives three and four to 18 metres, then your card.

Day 4
Yours
No diving. Off-gas properly, sleep, and see the island you have only crossed to reach a boat.

Day 5
08:30 – 14:00
The two-tank morning trip as a certified diver. No skills, no demonstrations — just the reef.
Day 5 is the standard two-tank morning trip, booked alongside the course and charged separately — ask us for the current price. Skip it and this is a 4-day itinerary with a rest day.
Why five
Three days certifies you. Five is when most people stop concentrating and start looking.
Day 4
A rest day means a skill that needs repeating does not threaten your flight home.
Slack in the schedule
Day 5
Your first dives with nothing to demonstrate. This is where buoyancy actually settles.
Two dives, no skills
Between dives
Most three-day students see the dive centre, the boat and their room. Five days is enough to see why people stay.
Turtle sanctuary, sunsets
Or go further
Five days keeps you on the Gilis. Seven adds the Advanced course and the southern sites — Belongas Bay walls and the deeper water most visitors never get to. If you have the week, it is the itinerary that uses it.
7-day itinerary
Five days
No. Same PADI Open Water course, same nine dives, same price. The difference is a rest day and two fun dives added around it.
Yes. Day 5 is the standard two-tank morning trip, booked alongside the course and charged separately — ask us for the current price. Leave it out and you have a 4-day itinerary with a rest day in it.
Not in two days — Advanced needs its own two full days of five Adventure Dives. That is the 7-day itinerary, and booked together the two courses run at a package rate.
Day 5 finishes around 14:00. PADI recommends 18 hours between your last dive and a flight, so a departure from the afternoon of day 6 onward is safe.
Yes. Some people prefer it after day one rather than after certification. Tell us when you book and we will arrange the boat days around it.
Lock the dates
Tell us your five days and whether you want the fun dives included. We reply within four hours during operating hours.
